Activities that require monitoring of a measurement or equipment condition
Introduction to activities that require monitoring of a measurement or condition
There are maintenance activities that require taking a measurement, such as measuring temperature, vibration, thickness, insulation resistance, amperage, etc.
Or, activities for example review, in which it is desired that the person in charge of making said reviews reports and leaves a record of the condition in which they found the equipment or any of its parts.
In the window of editing activities the PM allows the user to indicate activities that require monitoring of a measurement or condition.
In these cases, every time we report in the PM that the activity has been carried out, the program will ask the user to indicate the value obtained from the measurement and if the value entered by the user is close to or outside the permissible limits, the MP will alert you and ask if you want to automatically raise a report at that time to request the equipment review.
All the values that are registered are stored in the database for consultation. With the values obtained, the MP generates a graph, thus allowing the user to predict a trend to anticipate the failure.
The above graph, as well as a table of all the measurements carried out on different dates, can be consulted from the submenu Measurements I Histories of the module Equipment.
Equipment or location alert with measurements outside or near limits
Every time the value of a measurement is recorded in the PM and it is close to or outside the permissible limits, the PM alerts and asks the user if they want to automatically draw up a report at that time to request a review of the equipment. . If we ignore the alert for the moment, it will remain visible from the Alerts module of the main menu and also in the equipment information grid under the column "Has measurements".
To determine the range of values close to limits, in Configuration Options, under the tab Measurement control, the user can establish a percentage of the limit and maximum values to determine the range that the PM should consider as close to the established permissible limits.
All the values that are recorded are stored in the database for consultation, thus generating a history of measurements. With the values obtained, the MP generates a graph, thus allowing the user to predict a trend to anticipate the failure.
The Measurement History can be consulted from the Histories option of the equipment submenu. It is important to select equipment whose linked maintenance plan contains activities that require taking measurements. Use the filter tool to display the computers that meet this condition.
