The module inventory levels, supply and requisition has several functionalities. The first is to know how graphic and simple levels of stock on our inventory. In accordance with an optimum level of stock that we set for each replacement, the inventory tells us of how a percentage of the level in which you can find our stock, that is to say, if we are already getting close to 0 or if we have enough stock still.
This module manages a series of alerts that are very useful for us and let us know in advance at the time that we are already close to reaching a minimum level of stock, which we set up ourselves as a higher level of security. We are alert at the time that we are below the minimum level, which means that we should already buy more parts. In the same way tells us when we are about to run out of stock and when we are already at 0.
All of these alerts are very helpful to stay ahead with the purchase of spare parts and to avoid, where possible, to run out of stock.
Another important point here is that also considered the time of procuring of each part or consumable, that is to say, the time it takes to get the replacement, since it makes the process of buying until you enter our store. This reference is very important also because, if we make a purchase of material past this point, it is very likely that we stay in a given time out of stock, awaiting the arrival of the replacement parts.
Other functionality is very interesting in this module is able to know the time or day that we have met with our current stock. In accordance with the consumption of each of our spare parts and consumables, it is possible to estimate as to how many days we're going to reach the stock of each product.
This time can be calculated in two different ways:
- Based on the rotation or monthly consumption average of each spare part or consumable, or
- Based on the schedule of the maintenance of the computers where you use a spare determined.
Later we will explain the advantages of using each of the methods of calculation.
This graphic way of displaying our stock is very helpful, because, at a glance, we can know which products require our attention and which are not.
Well, with all of the above, another feature of the module is to know quickly and easily which products are of those that we supply. Using a series of filters with this module, it's easy to filter and know all the products that we need or we want to generate a requisition to the purchasing department corresponding to proceed with your purchase.
The last point would be to generate the necessary requisitions. Once we filter and decide what products we need or want to buy, we can generate a request. The idea is that this request be passed on to the purchasing department is responsible for which they dealt with the due purchase with the provider that they want. In this module it is possible to know which products are in order to be able to give follow-up in conjunction with the purchasing department.
